These amps are hungry. If you are not feeding them the proper voltage bad things will happen. They will do over their rated power though.

its not that power hungry my friend ran one with just a yellow top in the back. never had a prob. its a awesome amp. i had 2 of them and loved every minute of it. and jmanpc is a awesome guy to deal with no worries
