For sale:

Focal 6KP / E - 6.5" mids, virually NIB, but they have been powered up and tested, so officially they are used. Great condition. Great sounding.

$180 / pair.

CDT 26A tweeters - like new condition, complete with multiple mounting options and original mounting brackets.

$75 / pair.

Mcintosh MC423 amps (3 of them) - each 2 x 30w or 1 x 60w. Very, very clean sounding amps. Had been using two of them to power the front tweets (1 amp per tweet for the ulitimate in stereo separation!) in an active set up and the third in standard stereo for rear fill. They are relatively small - 10" x 7.25" x 2.2". First two come with an original manual (third one, if purchased seperately, will have a copy). They are of course used but with no significant issues. One has a small chip in the glass in the upper right hand side under the trim - I tried to take a picture of it, but it is hard to see (which is a good thing). Note the pictures are in order (front, back) of each amp, so if there is one you prefer, just let me know.

$165 each or $450 for all three.

Image Dynamics ID-Max 10 D2 - bought it off another board (ECA) about a year ago, but have gone another direction (went to a low profile box). Good condition. V3 version. Heavy, so shipping will be a few bucks.

$180.

How "great" do these actually sound? I need a good set of comps for my Civic. How much power can these handle? What other comps do they compare to?

Here are some specs I found on them - see link below. As for 'great' sounding, I guess that is always subjective, but from my perspective if you want something with some punch, brightness (as much as a mid can be) and accuracy - good for rock, pop and current music - these are them. I understand there may be better choices, but not many however, if you are into jazz and other 'smooth' music.

Well, I listen to mostly hip hop & r&b music. I want the front stage to be clean, clear, & have smooth bass when needed.

I don't think you would be disappointed, but I realize I am biased. I searched for some other reviews and this is what I found (the 165 is the full set of which mine are the mids):

I am sure there are others on this forum who have or had them and could confirm they are top quality 'great sounding' speakers. I searched on this forum for 'Focal' under the Speaker discussion section and found several threads, most of them should confirm what I have said. Of course all that assumes you mount them properly and feed them good clean power.
