Selling a pair of Image Dynamics CD1e V2 full body horns w/ crossovers.

Bought them a few weeks ago off of dbfan187 and won't have a chance to use them.

Also selling a custom 8" driver made for me by Dave at RE. This is a one of a kind driver, only 3 have been made IIRC and he personally destroyed 2 of them if I remember //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif This one has NEVER been used. Been sitting on my floor for a good 6 months.

It has a 2.5" coil, 3-400 RMS, weighs around ~20 lbs.

I'm asking $115+shipping on the horns/crossovers, $80+shipping on the 8" subwoofer (paid $130 to have it built)

I have plenty of refs on here and Ebay. No trades please.

wow. fu*king amazing price on those horns.

im tempted to buy them even though i already have CD2 fullbodies. my friend just bought cd1-e minihorns for lots more on ebay. and they do sound awesome (xover a bit too low at 1khz though snova, im not sure about that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif )

but if you can fit them, they are so incredible. i still have a headache from listening to them, but while you are in the vehicle and hearing the sound, as loud as you can get them, they really honestly, dont fatigue your ears at all. its crazy.

How low you think I could cross them over w/ a 24dB/oct slope?

NG

what?

lol. i tried my CD2's fullybody with ~38wrms@8ohms with 24db\oct at 1khz, and they were bottoming out, they started to sound great at about 1.2khz, so i wouldnt trust the cd1-e - even though they are fullbodies under 1.2, but thats just from my expierence.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

still awesome AWESOME horns for a wicked price

don't remind me andy....shiza ballz....oh well...another bump for some great horns....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

38 watts is alot of power for horns the cd 1 e is a totally different beast altgether being its a peizo. when i had them they probably seen 15-25 watts by the time you take in attinuating the system. the peizos on their x overs i believe roll off themselves. they are better with their x overs though i seem to remember trying them active but iirc the x over has a built in eq for them smooths them out quite a bit. iff yu run them "active" still use the x over with them unless you are a 31 band eq bandit because they are very peaky without that x over

The "xover" that comes with them has an EQ circuit built in for the horns. It doesn't actually highpass filter the horns at all, they naturally roll off on the bottom end being Peizo, but the xover does have an EQ circuit for them.
