so the guy who posted earlier about the brx 2400 you think this is a better amp than the brutus 2400?
@jeffdachef; whats you're thoughts on this. I personally cant say never ran a brutus?

i'd got with the belva over the brutus personally, power is very similar but if you have voltages that are around 12-13.8 volts then the belva would be better since they dont really mind low voltages.

Brutus amps pretty much require 14.4 volts to make rated power, anything less then there's a good decline in power.

i look at it this way though if your trying to push that much power you need a good recharging system anyways and the brutus is cea certified thats the reason i went with it. god that thing is power house too. fucked my hand up cutting through the 0 gauge for it but it was worth it. that thing puts out alot of power and im running it at 2 ohms right now for the next month till i get new subs

you have one misconception bro. CEA certified only means it does power at 4 ohms, it says NOTHING about it doing 2 or 1 ohms rated. Because Efficiency comes into play. When running that much power at 1 ohm, you do not base your decisions upon CEA certified logo, you have to get products that are proven. I've ran into many CEA certified amps that could do a **** sh*t near their 1 ohm rated claim cleanly on the oscope AKA most of those CEA compliant KAC kenwoods.

remember, I'm running the BRX 2400 and i know for sure the belva is a better amp all around by a slight bit. However, hifonics has a better resale value since people know about the name. So yeah the brx is a good stepping stone amp until you get something of better quality like a sundown, rockford tbcp, soundqubed, digital designs, incriminators etc. But if you dont ever plan on buying another amp, then the belva's a better choice performance wise. The bass just sounds better on it to be honest.

Anyways, its your money, as long as your happy with your purchase. Just wanted to get some facts and misconceptions out of the way.

Thank you for clearing that up for me and for now its a good enought amp. Im planning on running around 4k watts rms in the next 6 months and im assuming it would be a better idea to go with a bigger nicer quality i.e sundown dc audio etc than to strap a secong brutus to my first one? And in ur opininion at 1 n 2 ohm what do you think the brutus runs at?? Thanks again for clarifying for me

sundown and dc are both great amps, also don't forget to check out the SQ3500, Ia 40.1 and ab 200.1. all around 4k and great amps just to name a few. But you're brutus is a good starter amp. There is no need for you to buy my amp just because its different yes it may be a little more power but in all honesty you really wont be able to tell the difference IMO

Free bump for an honest man. Thank you for not BS'ing this guy into buying your amp. Fewer and fewer honest guys out there these days. On another note I kinda want your amp LOL.

The brutus, as long as you stay above 14.4 volts and up, you should get rated/close to rated power after accounting in box/impedance rise. Not sure how beefy your electrical is but I would save up for the quality amps.

It pretty much comes down to how much the amp can do when given X amount of power/amperage. Both choices would probably draw about the same amount of current from your electrical systems but the quality one will put out more power due to increased efficiency from design.

I mean if you can keep voltage drops above 14 volts running 4k rms, then adding another Hifonics would be okay if your really on a budget. There's just a lot more power to be had with higher quality amps IMHO.
