Nope totally different subs. Retail is over $250+ more similar in price to DD 1508's

thats for the 09 version. The 2010-11 have a few upgrades so I was told, such as a stainless former, an aluminum plate under the dustcap, and new surround.

yep and the motor on these weigh more than the 1508....60 ounces more IIRC
