Our 2008 F450 Towtrucks get less than 11 mpg, it really sucks.

It fcking sucks man. Just one truck alone, cost over $7500 in fuel in the past 6 months.

Ya I drive 45 miles to work and 45 miles home. It sucks to fill it up but the mileage on it is actually not to bad. I get an average of about 18 mpg on the highway. It wouldn't hurt for the goverment to get off there *** and get fuel prices down though. How do you like the twin Turbos on that beast?

They are ran over 15 hours a day, filled up 3-4 times a day. 17 gallon tank FTL.

The truck is an absolute torque monster. With 650 ft. lbs. of torque and 350 hp it can give most cars on the road a run for it's money. Only thing that sucks is that they shut out at around 85 mph.

We're going to start fooling around with chips and intakes. One truck has around 30k miles, and we got it in December. Once it hits 100k miles, the warranty is out, so we'll take that huge *** catalytic converter off, and play around with a few things. Hopefully it will get better mileage.

not to highjack the thread but i have a 08 dual turbo truck that was getting 12mpg. took that ****ed filter off and got a chip that does away with the re-gen cycle that cleans the filter out. she now gets 15.8-16mpg...it's a crewcab 4x4 dually.. so it's not bad.
