I have run MT's in bass race (HEAVY bass music for 30 seconds) with 4000 watts RMS, but they were hot when I was done. They also still played fine and still looked new when I sold them. Leads were fine and the coils were not discolored.

I would guess just pounding them non-stop they will handle 2000-2500 RMS if it is good clean power.
