Sold F.S.: Rainbow Platinum 6.9 Midbass (w/phase plug)

Hey all,

I recently picked these beauties up from the original owner, Maxchef (I think that is his screen name here - pretty sure it is on ECA). They are in very nice condition and come in an original Rainbow platinum box with all instructions. Sadly, I am now unemployed for the first time in 31 years - and while I am set enough to make it for a while financially, I do need to get rid of any extravegances in my life. Its hard as he!! to sell these as I have wanted them for a looooong time, but reality is reality and the Profi Kicks I have still sound very good.

My understanding is that these drivers currently sell for roughly $1,300 new. They are manufactured to incredible standards - every little thing about these drivers is top-quality - inside and out! Frankly, I get TOO EXCITED just looking at these things... but then again, I've been single too long.

I've been told that this set was purchased after the price increases last summer and would contain any recent upgrades if Rainbow has made any in recent times. I've also been told that they were very rarely used. Based on their appearance and sound, I have no reason to doubt this! (See photos below)

These are incredible sounding midbass drivers people. One listen to a quality recording will bring goosebumps to your arms. They reproduce vocals with impeccable faithfulness and literally do not have a weak point. They are especially great if you are looking to use a two way system, as their midrange performance is as good as it gets.

I don't remember ever seeing a set of these for sale on these boards in all my time as a lurker or as a member. If you would like to get these now, you can do so for $600 USD shipped to your door in the continental US. I will also accept offers for a fixed period of time. If no one comes up with the $600 - I'll notify the person with the highest offer that I'll accept their offer or put these buggers on eBay and see what happens. I have a number of references - having sold 4 pair of ADS component sets, 2 Alpine Amplifiers, an Alpine W200 & H701, a pair of Focal K2P upgraded versions, a Hafler Preamplifier and Power Amplifier, Dynaudio d28 tweeters and a pair of Rainbow lower end components- mostly on message boards - over the past 1.5 years! Of these, the only person to have any kind of issue was the person who bought the W200. He said the transport had troubles (although I'd never had any issues, so it must have happened in shipping). We resolved the issue in about 3 days... 100% satisfied customers and a 100% eBay rating as well.

5 pages deep on day one - even with post dumping. Thanks very much guys - I'm sorry that this post offends anyone but it is 100% within the rules.

Whether anyone likes it or not is sort of irrelevant, unless you have the cash and intended to buy these fine speakers, and because of the posting method - changed your mind. I don't think that is the case, given the bids you so graciously offered.

For those who honestly might be interested and can stretch out that much cash - please feel free to contact me via email if you have any questions. I appreciate the support from my friend above - and since I've sold to people on every major board, I am certain you will be able to find plenty who will support me - and particularly my ethics.

These are no longer for sale. I have decided that economically it is better for me to keep these drivers for now and use them full range selling my sub/box/amp if needed in the future. Instead, I am selling a great set of Profi Kicks with cal 26 silk tweeters. I'm pretty sure they are already sold and just waiting on confirmation.
