This woofer was originally reconed by mobieous and can handle 2500 rms. It has the Team Fosgate basket along with 9'' stiff spiders. I bought this under the impression that it was a dual 1 and the coils read 1.6. The guy I got it from said it absolutely loved the lows. The reason why it's so cheap is because the motor is pretty dirty and the surround has a small tear that is fixed.

Pics of coil read? Is 2500 what is recommended or is that just about the most it can handle daily? What kind of power does it need to really start moving?

I would say that 2500 is what it can handle daily and it would need atleast 1200 watts to get it moving.

Maybe the OP just assumed the coils were bad because he was given an innacurate coil expectations?

If this is the guy from RoE that I think it is he has always seemed like an honest guy to me.

I said I was going to get coil readings for the simple fact that I knew Parker G was going to do this. Here's the story,he was gonna buy just the motor for 105 shipped, then he wanted the basket so I made it an even $125, then I forgot the added shipping charges for a bigger box and wieght, so it's up to $130 shipped. All the while he had no problem, now because he's not getting his motor and basket he is throwing a temper tantrum like a baby. Anyone who wants to check REF's go right ahead, they will have nothing but good things to say.
