Shouldn't be no reason why you can't get a refund on your second faulty amplifier. Why was the salesmen/pissed going off on the manager for?

For the 600/4.
Have them hook it up before you buy it.

It's got power but listen for the nuances you know are in your music. The fine details.

You might not like that amp. You might not notice the difference.

I have seen your critique on the JL HD before, but to be completely honest I don't think I have your talent for picking out all the nuances that music can have. I believe I have better ears then most people and I can benefit from having very nice equipment, but I don't think I am on top of the scale for that type of thing. My installer has the HD 600/4 with JL C5 components and to my ears his setup is the best SQ setup I have ever heard. However, I have never heard some of the better components that I know are out there better than the C5's so I don't have anything to compare it to. I have family in and near Va Beach so if I ever get that way I will try to look you up so I can hear your setup
