Front sound stage 300/2v1 or SAX-100.2?

I'm looking at running JL c5 6.5" or BA pro60's components for my front

soundstage. I want to run as nice a front sound stage as I can afford.

I could pick up a 300/2v1 for just a little more than the 100.2 on special.

I suspect the 100.2 will have nice headroom and sq. I could run the rear

6x9's off of HU power (22wpc). I also have an old series VII hifonics

vulcan 2x50W amp that could run the rears.

So, front sound stage, JL 300/2v1 at $250 or Sundown SAX-100.2 at

$200 new or even a JL 300/4v1 at $275ish used.

Can you suggest options that are BETTER in the price range of less

than $300? Is a Boston Acoustics GT-24 as good or better?
