front right speaker problem

Okay guys I just hooked everything up I turned the car on and when it goes on the hu turns on then the front right comp speaker just blows like a horn almost like a test tune. But i have the volume all the way down on the hu any ideas why?
it's broke:confused:

I just got the amp back from pioneer for warranty so I don't think its that at all especially since all my other speakers are working fine. I think the amp's is blown but i dont know

replace the speaker and see if it does the same thing.

if it does then try a different amp, see if it fixes the problem.

if its none of the above switch the head unit.

gotta be one of those three

Work your way up the chain. Hood your other speaker up to that amp channel. If the other speaker does it, not the speakers.

Switch the RCA inputs on the amp. If the sound switches sides, probably the HU, however could possibly be the RCA's (not likely in my opinion however).

Also worth a shot. Try turning your HU up to volume 1 (just above off) and see if the sound stops. Then report back.

nope none of that worked I tried hooking up the sub today and it did the same exact thing. I heard from another person that some pioneer's have had problems with the output's and the fact that you have to ground them yourself. So im going to try that tomorrow and see what it does if not im gonna go to the store and buy a new set of rca's just quick run it through the car and see if it makes a diffrence at all. If not then it is the hu and i guess ill be giving pioneer a call since I just got it back from them for warranty. i gope this grounding works though.

Check that you connected your remote wire from the amp to the correct wire out of the HU also. Sounds very similar to a problem I had one time. Does the sound still happen when you turn your HU on to very low volumes (but not off)?
