Front-fire or Down-fire?

Do down fire boxes not sound as loud outside of a truck as front-fire boxes would? It seems that a downfire box would just vibrate the truck more. What's the difference in sound between a downfire and a front-fire?

Usually that bass is non-directional. So you really have to see what you like best.

I just installed my box today it fires @ a upward slant backwards with port facing passenger side and it pounds better than my last down firing box did and it was two 12" this is only one.

I think I'm gonna try a front fire box. I've went through 2 downfire boxes already, they tear up and start to have air leaks within a month. I don't think they were made for Kicker CVXs

make your own box bro, or pay someone to do it for you. you will end up with a much better box.
