I don't benefit though, that is the whole deal!!!You have to bear in mind that it was understood that the OP would have personally benefited when he advertised for said company the first time. That is where the no-no came into play. I can post a review about a company good or bad, link to their site, etc etc all day long. There are one of two conditions that have to be met first: 1. The company needs to have paid vendor rights on here or 2. I stand to have no personal gain from said company doing better. If either (or both) of those conditions are met, it's cool for me to say all kinds of wonderful things about them and how you can get them.
However, if those conditions are not met, then what keeps me from making a bunch of random alternate accounts and spamming these forums with "reviews" about a product to increase its sales? Nothing. It is nearly impossible for a review, or product suggestion to not be biased when you personally benefit from it. You tend to even suggest products when they don't match up to the application. Granted this isn't always the case, but that is why the mods have these rules in place. They are trying to save you (the consumer) from having been fed unaware advertising.
There should be no exceptions to the rules, otherwise you end up in grey-area ville and it gets hard to find a place to draw the line. Madness ensues, people get mad, rules have to change. The way it is currently may not please everyone, but it does protect the average consumer. There are no two bones about it.
Sad thing is Im not affiliated with them in any way. Its a product I like. You were affiliated with the company you were advertising for. Big difference. You represent audiosystem in you signature, therefore, you are not allowed to advertise or recommend that someone purchase any equipment that is marketed under the audiosystem name.
Any info pushed by a none vendor of the site that "represents a conpany in competition" could be considered breaking the rules if you wanna get technical like what's going on here but everyone does it... Including Knukoceptsi guess i didnt catch all that. thats advertising also? i cant even ask for the info?
I'm not affiliated with them for the last time, I told you I am no longer on the team!Sad thing is Im not affiliated with them in any way. Its a product I like. You were affiliated with the company you were advertising for. Big difference.
You could make a bunch of accounts and spam links. Mods would see that and do an IP check and boom caught. Even if IP's didnt match up it would be a safe bet that multiple threads advertising the same company, that just pop up out of nowhere, are from the same person. You have to bear in mind that it was understood that the OP would have personally benefited when he advertised for said company the first time. No, I will simply look into the brand because I have seen some great stuff come out of Italian based audio companies recently. Looks are trash on SP Audio stuff, too. That doesn't mean it can't perform. So they ended up "advertising" for PHD? Irony at its finest.
I'm going to look into SP audio, I have never heard of them and I am now pretty interested. No, I will simply look into the brand because I have seen some great stuff come out of Italian based audio companies recently. Looks are trash on SP Audio stuff, too. That doesn't mean it can't perform.
If you are indeed temp banning him, please don't lock this thread mods as long as the discussion stays civil and productive. I hate losing threads like this that could offer insight due to locks. They end up in the abyss and others can't reference them. I think my wall-o-text a min ago should prove helpful to people wondering why you guys have problems with these sort of posts.
Hes not getting banned. It was sarcasm he didnt catch on to like hes been claiming I didnt catch. No, I will simply look into the brand because I have seen some great stuff come out of Italian based audio companies recently. Looks are trash on SP Audio stuff, too. That doesn't mean it can't perform.

True, but what if over the course of a month, 1 old member and 2 new members all give slightly different but positive reviews of a product? People would be inclined to give the product a try. That was what I was implying. People are much less likely to do this if they are not personally benefiting from the sale of said product. That is the very reason you do no allow advertising of a non-vendor company when the member is affiliated with said company. You could make a bunch of accounts and spam links. Apparently my Sarcasm filter is broken. Sheldon strikes again.Hes not getting banned. It was sarcasm he didnt catch on to like hes been claiming I didnt catch.
You should. Here's a vid of the subs. I've been meaning to try the mids out, they are what look like Walmart level gear, but seeing what the subs can do I wouldn't be surprised if they are quite loud and capable as well.I'm going to look into SP audio, I have never heard of them and I am now pretty interested.
