Friends 2 R's are sealed and sound like Garbage

Who ever has Type R's sealed needs to get out of car audio. Tell him if he doesnt like lows to get some 8"s and sell you his R's dirt cheap lol.
actually i had my r's in a sealed box for a little while and they didnt sound that bad. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/sneaky.gif.7189749b3a3f769e8815b47e8ae87f88.gif

so you're saying 8's don't hit the lows
Lets not get into this argument here...lol we all know any size sub can hit any note, but it is true that most 8's have higher resonant frequencies due to the smaller cone (less moving mass/etc), thus, in general, they aren't exactly ideal for slamming out a 20hz note an octave+ below their natural playing frequency, whereas a bigger sub with an fs of 20hz will do it much more easily. Plus you need alot of displacement for low notes to have any real output, and again a single 8 isn't exactly ideal for that
