Fried pre-out fix?

I dunno what happened; prob. a result of my so-so install...I think a speaker wire touched the chassis ground while everything was on...anyways now the engine whine is like the volume of the music, but only out of the pre-amp. I feel like a surge went through and messed up the internal ground or something. Anyways is it something I could fix myself, or should I get it fixed?

It's not something you can fix your self EASILY without a good electrical knowledge and a skematic of the affected circuitry. Better to have someone else fix it or even buy a new deck.
