Free to me JL Audio J300/2

Hey all,
A friend has offered to give me a JL Audio J300/2 to use as an amp for my 10” sub.

Being as old as it is, would it be suitable for this or should I get a new one. The other amp it is replacing is a Pioneer GMX862 that is no longer working and is probably just as old.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I registered just to answer this question.

I have no idea what your subwoofer specs are, but you can never go wrong with a JL Audio Amp. You're guaranteed 300 Watts RMS @ 4 Ohms Bridged with that amp.

Use it. As stated above, it will give you at least 300x1 @ 4 Ohms, or 150x2 @ 2 Ohms. JL Audio is a quality brand, you should be ok using it.

So, the sub is a Pioneer Champion series 10” 4 ohm in a sealed box. For those wondering
