So i decided to go for it, frys had a really good deal on polk stuff. buy one get one half off. total for all 4 subs was 182 with warranties.

The box is 3.6 cubes. Double baffle with flush mount. When I first had the box in I tried it sealed, this sounded really clean but the loud bass output wasn't there. So I

got 4" port from ace and popped it in and WOW my subs really came to

life. cut the pipe to 6 inches long, Ported @ 32 hz sounds amazing for these little 8's. I had a 10" L7 in the same location, it was 2.2 cubes at 28hz (setup used in the video shiznilti made) and this new setup blows it away. Here's some pics.

Clean up the wires, paint the box and hide the batts and amp and actually kinda cool spot for the box........and putting cupholders in it kinda be cool lol serious

Neway congrats on the subs and box

Now do yourself a favor, put some spacers on the box flip it over, round over the edges, put some fabric on it so I can pick my chin up off the floor. You have a decent idea that is a long way from looking good enough to not to get ragged on, I would be prepaired to get ripped for the aesthetics.

Looks loud, I would get in trouble trying to rest my arm on it and then get hit by one of the woofers though lol.

I do like the HU up at the top of the windshield, looks pretty cool.

thanks guys, i'm going to put cup holders in. at least 1 in the front. the subs dont bother hitting my arm since they are somewhat shallow with the flush mount. i'm laying fabric on in tomorrow, and yes that is my deck above my mirror. by the way pics were with the backseat folded up to show my amp battery and computer.. the main reason i have my box there is because i absolutely need my back seat as I am still in high school.. my friends really got a kick out of the port, it shoots air out so fast and hard, crazy.

That is correct. That install looks like ***. I wouldn't wanna let someone in my car if it looked like that. A big, bare, glue stained box in the way of elbow space and bare wire running in all directions behind me. But hey, to each his own. Hope it gives you the sound you were looking for.
