Four front Channel speakers

I am putting speakers in a 69 camaro and the only speakers i can put in the stock locations are 4"x6" plates in the kick panels and 4" in the center speaker location. I am going to use Fosgate p400-4 amp for these speakers. Im going to run RCA's from the head unit and in order to get audio to all four speakers, i want to split each channel (left and right) and plug it into the amp. In other words i will have two RCA's for the front left channel and two RCA's for the front right channel. is this a good idea to send audio to all four speakers?

Thanks for the reply. i will have 2 speakers in the center so there will be four speakers in total. i didn't know what 2 channel and 4 channel mode ment, but you cleared things up for me. thanks. i will run the amp in 2 channel mode and hook up four speakers to it.
