four 12s or two 15s

WTF are you saying?
4 15s in this

Trunk.jpg

you can barely fit 4 15s in the trunk minus the box, sealed your looking at 8 cubes, ported at least 12

i say 2 15s, or maybe 3 12s subs firing back port back[/QUOT

yes 4 15s in that i put em in before two help my patnah move his newly bought shit

it was 4 memphis mojos

yuh jamm packedd but it fit

so 2 15s y??

cause you can put them in a box that will sound like a ****, atleast 7 cubes @ 30-37hz

a box for 4 15s that can fit in the back of that car had to sound like shit

Were throwing advice out, i work in a shop, i see peopel come in all the time that want to do the same thing you are trying to do

cramming subs in a box does not make it sound better, might help out your ego some but thats about it

It may depend on the install, 2 15"s might not require as much air space inside the box which is good in your case.

i had 2 15"s Audioque HD3's walled in my truck, and i stomped alllll overr 4 12"s JBL GTi's walled in another truck

but i guarantee you that if i had 4 12"s, i would be louder than him if he had 2 15"s, a good design and well built box is key.

say i sed i can fit them not that i ****in want em if u quit bein a dick and read wat i asked u can help me wit my question

Ive fit 5.6cf net in the trunk of a LeSabre, it was very snug, but it fit. it was for 2 15"s, they could of used more airspace.

honestly, with a bad *** box, 2 bad *** 12's with some real power will be really good. 2 12"s in the lesabre were louder than the 2 15"s, same box. 5.6cf tuned to 30hz.

there are a ton of subs out there, it comes down to what your looking for, im assuming just LOUD bass, and how much money if any you want to spend on electrical, we can name 2 15s that sound great off 1000rms or 2 15s that need 4000rms, with 4000rms you need batteries, runs of 0ga wire, upgraded alternator etc, but if done right would loud as hell

some suggestions: never used any of these, this is what i see getting tossed around

AQ SDC2.5s http://www.audioque.com/aq/SDC2_5_Series.htm

DC lvl 2 3 4 or which ever power you want http://www.dcsoundlab.com/woofers.html

there are tons out there

OK you want opinions heres a few. From how i understand your comments you are wanting your bass for maximum performance not for music.. So you have 2 options IMO 1. You can do some researching and find out how much room you have in the trunk for optimum placement ..Meaning how much room do you have maximum before you would start canceling out the subs. Meaning to big a box to close to the rear of the trunk... That way your bass wave has perfect optimum space to develop. Then find out what brand of sub you have been looking at that fits those requirement the BEST as far as there ported specs go, you have 5 cubes so you get subs that hit as hard as possible in a 5 cube ported tuned box be it 12s or 15s and go for it ...OR...2. You can find out how much total airspace you have and put as many freaking subs as you can in there and run as much power as you can. I would go for 10s or 12s more speakers more inches moving air ... However keep in mind this, there is a difference between DB and SPL. Have you ever heard a system that you could hear way off coming down the road . Loud as sh*t right he has like 4 15s and is dropping balls....but then you go up to a stereo shop and theres a car there with 2 10s that you can barley hear outside the car compared to the guy with the 15s. But inside the car compared to the guy with 4 15s the guy with the 2 10s is hitting harder than the guy with 4 15s even though the guy with the 15s sounds louder... I say take your time keep asking questions go listen to different types of systems and then make a decision and go for it.. Also if you do decide on 15s look for ones that have smaller ported box specs not much room in that trunk, more than likely be able to get 3 12s in there before 2 good 15s either way with a ported box its going to be tight for 15s imo... Go to as many car audio shops as possible play it off act like your gonna spend your tax return at there shop get them to measure your trunk and tell you what they think would hit the hardest in your car then ask for a written estimate . Then read through them and pick a set up you like..Then use it like a blue print and start piecing it together.. whatever you decide on good luck
