Well today my friend and I finally got together to get his guitar cabinet up and built. The cabinet will house four 12" Celestion G12Hs sealed. It should be a pretty nice cabinet when we're finished.

He just bought a new dove tail jig and we spent the majority of the time getting it all calibrated and adjusting the router to the correct height.

Here are the pictures:

Waiting for it to dry. We put the angle clamps to ensure a right angle while it was drying. We really didn't need to as the joints pretty much set it up pretty **** square:

The joints were beautiful without glue but once we put some glue in there, they became VERY difficult to get all the way in. We got them in with about 1/16" sticking out on two joints and the others were only about 1/32" above. We're going to be working on it tomorrow along with a build for an L7 12". I'll get pictures of that and more of this up then.

Yea, it really is. It smells just as beautiful.

very nice.... u got a link to purchase on of those jigs.. i got to get one
No, but I can get you the brand and pictures of it tomorrow. I think it was close to $300 or so and is only good for joints up to 16" long.

what kinda wood is that and how much $ ?
13 ply birch and it was about $40 a sheet of 5'x5' I think.

pics of the bit?
awesome looking joints man.

those have to be strong as a *****.
I'll get some pics of the bit tomorrow. The joints are VERY strong and even without glue, they hold together very well; I would not be able to pull apart a non-glued joint with my hands.

And Greg looks to be one hairy mother****er.
Haha...

Thanks for the comments. I'm pleased with how it looks so far and I think it will turn out quite nice when it's finished. It may get covered in vinyl or it may stay *****. Tomorrow we will be working on the cleats and front baffle. Hopefully we'll get the holes cut out and everything together. That will only leave small things like wheels, handles, and terminals.
