I don't think you use dogs for deerhunting //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif
Very few states still allow running deer with dogs..MS is one of the few that does, however I don't use dogs..
And yes, some people make $$ by using their dogs to blood trail lost deer.
What is your plan, just going to walk around that area and look for him? Do you have dogs?
When you say "in 18 days," is that when you are going hunting, or how long the camera was set up?
Bow season opens here in 18 days..
My plan is to wait till acorns start dropping here in another few weeks, and find where the deer are hitting them. This is in the middle of a big pine thicket and there will be oak trees along the edge dropping..Climb up a tree where the deer have been feeding, and wait it out.. Best chance at him will be in mid-December forward though when the rut kicks in.
looks nice. if you haven't seen them, check out the trail cam pics i put on facebook. i think you'd like them.
Didn't notice them..Gonna check them out now.
kinda small aint it......
glad i live in iowa
If I lived in IOWA I would have several P & Y's.
In MS a good deer is anything over 100".. Get to 120" and you got a REALLY good deer.. Break that 130" mark and you got a BIG one!
Kinda sucks when you take into consideration a mature buck here at 5 1/2 years of age averages only like 124" or so. Move into the Midwest, and that same back will be liable to go 150". And believe it or not, its all in the soil //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
Oh yeah, this deer will score about 120".
