I learned how to ride on a 1 liter gsx-r, if you aren't a jack ass and know how to respect the bike you will be fine. I'm so sick of the harley douches that think that just because they couldn't handle an actually fast bike that no-one could.

I wouldn't recommend that for anyone...I mean, glad it worked out for you but when you're learning how to ride you're bound to make mistakes. Accidentally ripping the throttle on a 500 is a lot different then accidentally ripping the throttle a liter. Same mistake but worse consequences, get my drift?

I wasn't recommending it, I was just stating that I had done it. Hell seeing how people drive around here I wouldn't recommend anything over a 125cc

Nice bikes, and mine is a yz 125, i acutually bought it not long ago for 300$ in badddd shape top and bottom were trash and locked, but i rebuilt it now, lots of money invested on such a cheap bike, its fast enough for me, what year is the yz in the pic you posted?

So if you saw someone wreck their car would you call everyone that wanted to learn how to drive stupid? Shit happens man. I like to think the majority of riders out there are like me and ride responsibly but unfortunately the ones you always hear about are the other kind. The kind that pull wheelies going down the freeway and never wear helmets. As far as I'm concerned if they're dumb enough to not wear a helmet then natural selection says they're making our civilization smarter by not living long enough to breed...but that doesn't mean everyone is like that and you can generalize so broadly.

honestly,most teens that drive cars are also stupid,myself included when I got my first

car. Bikes are just way more dangerous good luck and may the force be with you

harleys are gay... Plus, you spend $10k on the bike, then you have to spend like $20k on boots, socks, pants, shirts, vestes, necklaces, bandanas, glasses and all kinds of other over priced crap with an HD emblem...

My fist bike was a 900RR and it SMOKED my step dads Harley. His is a 13xx CC motor, not sure the model. Springer front end, soft tail, the model is a bunch of letters... FLXyaddayadda superglide something or another.

Got an R6 now and its faster than the old 900. Stay away from the 99-02 R's, they have 2/6 gear shaft issues. Goose it hard in 2nd or 6th and it slips like a mofo. Mine is an '01 in near mint condition with a bunch of extras. Only paid $2k for it, i knew all about the 2/6 issue before hand.

Eric is bad ***, mine is a 99, i had it renickled and port and polished, i was suprised how much faster it is on stock bore compared to my kx.. It just smokes it period..

Yeah, i cant wait to see how she does. It was a blast as a 125. So much more fun then my 450 at the track. Just pinned everywhere unless im in the air...lol
