I have an escalade ( the short tahoe styled one ) my set up is ;
(2) Sundown Audio SA-15
Hifonics Brz1700.1D
9 cubes @ 32Hz
I have been piecing together the rest of my system. So Far I have the Hifonics TZi4408 & Polk DXI6500 Component Set. These will be going in the front. I had planned on bridging the amp to run the front polks and leave the rears stock for now, and maybe just run some coax's off of the head unit down the road. Another option was 4 sets of components.
I forgot I do have a set of DXI690 6x9 speakers laying around.
I suppose I could cut my rear doors up and install them there, but I REALLY do not like that idea as I do not want to do irreversible modifications to my truck. If advised that would be a good option I could be convinced.
I am going to be building an amp rack, that will place the amps right behind the second row, and angled towards the back of the truck. I was thinking about cutting in some 6x9 holes into it ( which would probably place the speakers right behind the rear seats ) and install the polk there and leave the rear door speakers out of the equation.
Would this be a good option or should get another set of speakers for the doors?
Here is an idea of how I would mount them.
that would be the view if you had the rear captian chairs folded down and you were sitting on the center console
