forums becoming worse than EBAY

I hate when people throw you a offer, then you agree to it and then they say well ill think about it. I m thinking why would you throw me a offer if you wernt really serious about buying it in the first place?
I had some prick settle on some subs for like 380 each or some shit, was getting ready to paypal and he came back and said no, he changed his mind and wanted 385 each, I told him to FO. He offered to go back to 380 again but told him to FO again, I won't deal with somebody that petty.

I honestly couldn't believe that one, lost a sale over 10 bucks, and he had to sit on the subs for quite awhile after that before finding another buyer.

I had a guy ask me if he could send me $90 instead of $90.35. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

i was given an offer for my 99z which is part of the reason i ended up writing this.

been watching a lot of people get screwed on some nice equip

anyway the offered was 700 shipped wtf is that

people backing out

asking you to hold then losing the chance to sell

dont get me wrong i have asked someone to hold but also offered to at least pay half upfront

If I'm selling and I want to move gear, thats absolutely stupid, but doable.

If I'm trusting 700+ of my money to somebody though, its not gonna be some petty prick that'll queer a deal over 10 bucks after an agreed to price. Doesn't incite much confidence in the seller.

for shit like yours, termpro was a much better classified, and it would be alot easier to sell if you had a pair. I doubt many competitors are looking for one 10.

Sucks the termpro classifieds are gone

You can look at that both ways.

Why were you selling it for $90.35 in the first place?

Would seem to me that $90 even would be a better price unless you are one of those "add paypal fees" types:rolleyes:

Yeah, I just couldn't believe he mentioned it, twice.

He asked about in once in PM, and again on the phone.

As a buyer, the thing that I hate the most is when a seller puts "retails for x amount of dollars" in their post. What do I care what it retails for? If you really want to provide some useful information, tell me what it currently sells for on ebay (in the same condition). If the price that you're asking is right around that amount (and you're selling something I can use), I won't hesitate to buy from you. It's that simple.

That $0.35 was going towards a gumball and ten rides on the penny dinosaur at Meijer. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

The shipping came out to $XX.35, so I just added it to my price without thinking it would matter.

yea ive been talking to them and it doesnt look like termpro will be back up anytime soon F UCKING SUCKS. this is a great site but like you said not a lot of competitors. well they are but they are locals and somce sweet *** daily drivers

i guess i just never understood why people get soooooo upset from a low ball offer. i mean isnt it worth a try. sometimes you will get someone that is so anxious to sell something they will take the first bidder. worst case scenario is you say no sorry asking xxxx for it, dont really want to go any lower than that. end of story. whats the big deal? you cant blame someone for tryin can ya?

this is true but when someone like in my case is asking 1400 and someone offers half seriously even needing money who in their right mind would take that offer.

Yup, thats crazy petty, .35 cents, anybody can find that in their couch.

On the paypal fee front I usually set an appropriate price and offer MO or paypal for payment, if somebody wants to pay in paypal I eat the fees. On two large sales I actually had buyers include extra money to cover paypal fee's without being asked to.

I've had some pretty good luck here 99% of the time //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Most offers get a reply from me. If its a serious lowball I won't even reply...unless I'm in a bad mood that day, then I send off a dickish reply.
