It's recommended right? Im worried that the sound may lack inside, but you guys are experienced so i just wanna know. Im also looking at putting in one 8" sub 300 RMS at 4 ohms. Have a specific one that you recommend? Im not looking for 'shake the car bass' but rather clean, defined bass that does 'hit' hard when called upon.

05civic and my polk momo's given 125 rms per side and it sounds great without any rears fill. most back seat passengers dont even notice there arent any speakers in the rear unless i tell them.

It really depends on what you like. Some people like their car to have an "earphone" effect. But most music is recorded in stereo, meaning it is designed to be reproduced by a pair of speakers. Personally I like having a stage on my dashboard.

What kind of funds/space do you have to work with for a subwoofer?

my amps gonna throw 100 at em. good enough? anyone got ideas for a sub?

funds: sub should be under sub + box should be under 250-300

space: i still want my trunk lol, hence the one 8"
