so i am installing a head unit in my friends explorer, and it has a built in amp for the speakers. the part for the amp has a ignition wire, a ground, and 1 rca output,. if im right, the ignition can just hook up to the other ignition, and the ground can go with another ground? and what about the 1 rca? usually they come in white and red, but this just has 1 black, where does that go?

I'm not sure what you mean by "the part for the amp" but if it's a part of the wire harness designed to integrate the factory amp, then you can tie in ignition and ground with the rest of the harness and the RCA plug needs to go to your subwoofer output. If you're using the harness I'm thinking of, the factory amp only runs the subwoofer in that vehicle.

ooh, ok, and yeah its just a small seperate harness, but it would be nice to find where that rca went, but it should also be fine without it, right, and not do anything to that harness? or should i jsut ground it anyways
