Ford sync2/mytouch/Sony issues LOC & clipping

Okay so I’m thinking about tapping in directly to my rear speakers on the deck lid (behind rear seats not doors). I drive a newer model car and taking out the headunit and all is just a pain in the ***. Will it be okay to do this or will I lose power input to the converter?

mine was like that for 12 yrs... just keep this in mind if u fade to front speakers like i do u will lose signal to that amp.. idk your car or where factory amp is on it..

They said the Sony factory amp is located in the trunk but I’ve never seen it before.

But now there’s a bigger issue, a moderator on 2gfusions is claiming that the stock headunit processor is sending dirty signa after 50% tilt.

The guy has been away for months now and I have no way of contacting him for solutions hes made with modifying the acm/apim with forscan. Which is above my knowledge on how to edit strings and what not.

To answer his question we both have to master that thread I posted above and learn how to use forscan to start with.

So for now I would tell him not to go over 50% volume til he does the mod. I will do my best to try and contact the op of that thread and/or fix the issue myself.

That's interesting stuff... my sons 2013 Focus has the same issue... I'd love to fix his car so he can turn the head up too... we keep the volume at about 45% and use a EQ-preamp... I'd like to lose the EQ if we could figure that article out that you linked... looks like a few tools I don't have and knowledge that I don't possess either... hey might be fun!... I hope he don't need his car for about a week... lol

Well the Op of that thread claims he made a jumper harness with RCAs built in and a obd2 plugin that will edit it for you to turn off the factory processor but he’s been inactive. I’ve texted him, wrote him on Facebook, pm’d him on multiple websites and emailed him. I might be able to disable the functions myself with forscan and just run a simple LOC to fix the issue. The more I do research the more I’m understanding how to use forscan. But I will pm you both links you need.

One on the how to disable the apm and how to use forscan. You will need this though to start which I’m buying tomorrow.

Update and easy but expensive fix.

After doing a lot of research and emailing the companies making the videos this was given to me. Pretty pricey but this is for low level preouts for front and back. You can contact them and they will make you one for just the rears if you choose to do a sub.
