Curious if anyone had one of these....

What do you think of it?

What system do you run? I am not a very big fan of the speaker being so high up in the door. Do you put a 6.5" there or do you end up building kick panels or something?

What is with this factory sub? How well hidden is it?

How is driving down the interstate at ~70 mph? Does the car sound like it is revving to high heaven?

What kind of fuel economy do you really get?

I have a 2002 ford focus zts. Its the sedan version though. If you would like to know anything about that shoot me a pm. Ill be glad to help ya with any questions ya have.

I am not trying to get it loud really.

It appears alpine is coming out with a small 5 channel amp in 2008. I was considering just bridging the the four channels on a nice componet set and using the 8" sub in the back. I just wanted to more about it.

a few recalls on it .. nothing big tho .. coils in front of made kinda weak .. the bearing pops and it sounds like a loud bangin when u turn the wheel ..

also ignition sticks .. but this is from a heavy weight on the key chain .. happened to my car ...

other then that no problems whatsoever

i have a zx3
so does splchoice

i run a 15 alpha with a sundown 1500d .. doing 43s on the dash .. 46 in the kick
Nice scores.

Do you have any pictures of the hatch area? I am curious where this 8" sub would go and what I could fit there. Also curious if I would be able to hide the pdx amp.

I assume the strong aftermarket support would have a nice fix for that. As for the bearings...I dunno that kinda scares me.

my uncle runs a high volume auto body shop. I was looking for this car and always

run my options by him for advice. He clearly stated to stay away from this car. He

said the engines are decent, but the ***** is trash. He also stated that the fit and

finish of the car is poor at best. With that said i did avoid that car, but its of course

his opinion, and to each there own.

thats because Ford doesnt know how to build a decent automatic ****** lol. same with the explorers (i own a 98 and a buddy owns a 96), if you go with the auto you will need a quick rebuild sooner or later. buddy needed one after like 60k or something. the manuals will last forever though.
