Ford focus amp integrated with stock

I have a friend who wants 2 amps, a sub, and new speakers put in his new Focus. He wants to retain the stock head unit for aesthetics. Due to price he shot down using a 3sixty, so we are going with just 4 channel hi output converter.

What I want to know is this. Does anyone make adapters that plug in between the stock head unit and cars wiring harness to give me a clean way of obtaining all the speaker leads I need to connect the converter to? I am not comfortable ith splicing into the cars wiring harness, so it can be easily brought back to full stock in minutes. With people using stock units more frequently, I was thinking maybe someone makes these.

I have a 2007 Focus ZX4 ST...I changed out the deck with a Pioneer AVIC D2 navigation double din...i thought I read it had a factory Sony amp...but When I hooked up the deck I found no turn on lead...Everything hooked up normal and all speakers played fine...I just used a basic ford wiring harness...No antenna adapter was necessary either...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

He wants to keep the deck.

I was pointing out that nothing weird was found in the wiring....Some vehicles can get crazy...like my 06 Tacoma with the factory JBL crap...that was a total rewire...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

If you're running to external amps, then what you can do is this:

Go to a junk yard and cut the connector out of that car. Then. just run a new +12v, ground, and Acc line to the new harness. Pull the wires that you aren't going to use (all but those three) out of the harness. Run a remote line and tie it in to the acc wire. Then you can tuck the origional harness back inside the dash and just not worry about it.

Ya. Thats a good idea. I actually looked for relocation harnesses for this car and was going to hack that up. Now I need to google junkyards in my area.

Yeah those premiums can be a PITA.

the factory deck sucks ***.. really try to talk him into aftermarket.. the stock deck attenuates the bass at higher volume and increases the treble. Plus the cross over points for the factory sub (if he has it) has like NO LOW END.. i mean none.. talk him into getting an aftermarket deck..

Has no factory subs and gains will be set usingthe head unit volume set only halfway. I explained this to him and he is good with it. He wants to retain that look.

I've never had a factory deck over a week in any of my vehicles...lol...I liked it back in the day when the dealerships would give you partial credit for the return of their factory junk....I do keep mine now in boxes to return to stock when I get ready to part with my rides...

I am ith you 100%. I hate using the stock parts, but am considering it with these processors like 3sixty and clean sweep.
