id build a box for the batts.

yes that particular side the carpeting sucks, but since its covered by the middle seats its ok. that pic is with the seats folded down.

there is like no clearance for a box lol. i might be building a shield plate behind the batts (other side from the box) to help deaden that back door along with the damp thats coming in
