ford cd player issues

I have a 04 Mustang with the Mach 1000 system which includes a six disk changer. The cd player reads CD error and won't eject or load any cd's It also says it is full although it is not I went to 2 local shops and they said all they could do is to send it off which cost $200 minimum Any help ans/or suggestions appreciated!

sounds bad man. This came with the car right? if so, Try taking it to the dealer and see if they are willing to fix it. If you didn't have the car for too long, they might be willing to fix it for cheap.

I don't know if the audio gear is part of a new car warranty or not. I'd check that route first.

Barring that - if you're being told that you have to spend a minimum of $200 to have the factory one looked at I'd take that same money and get an aftermarket universal (FM-modulated) changer and be done with it.
