for those who have the Boston Acoustic Pros compos

i heard them at a local shop and they sounded great compared to my friends MBs witch to me where very harsh on the ears and i want to hear the music with out the screaming.

i got it at the price cuz BA was comin out with a new model for 05 so they cut the price and the guy said that it is pretty much a give away... it was the BA or some alpines and the sales rep said with the price as it is take it or its ur lost...

I had a set of BA Pro6.5 comps.....ran 400w RMS per side (obviously 800w RMS total) and they loved it. As mentioned, tweets were pretty bright and at loud volums pretty harsh....but that can be tamed somewhat. They kicked out pretty good amounts of midbass for me.....but, I was running quite a bit of power to them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

hey audiolife i can spare 300 the most on an amp for the compos when i get my taxes i would tho......so anyother plz threw some at me thxs... oo yea and would say sound good even if i will be playin with 2 15's

Try to find an Eclipse 34230......used should be around that price. That's what I ran to mine, and they loved every minute of it. Just keep the gains down. That's an awesome amp aswell. I loved it........should have never sold it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I have some Boston Pro's 6.5's. For about 4 years I ran them with 100rms per side, just recently I upgraded my subs and put about 300rms to each side(600rms total)

...All I can say is wow...The highs are clean and crisp like said previously, I listen to Hawaiian music mostly and the strums and strings come across very very clear. The midbass kicks pretty hard, but its probably due to the amount of wattage thats going to it, but most importantly its clean and clear. With 1100rms going to my subs now, I thought I would have to get more of a front stage, but I was mistaken. I bought them for 375 back in 2000, outlasted everything else and they're still going strong. Best **** money I ever spent on components.
