What do ya think of this sub? Is it worth it? I see that SSA has their sale going on and i'm thinking picking up one. AS of now I own a SSA Icon 10 just want to know if the x 10 is worth the $$$. Thanks ya

you'll probably have a more bottom heavy sub with the X. loudness should be the same with the X peaking at a lower frequency then the icon.

have you heard an X series sub first hand? They don't sound like your traditional sub. Stock configuration, they play very flat (as if you were using a sealed box) throughout their entire stroke. They are low frequency beasts. If you listen to decaf and the like, then these are the subs for you. You have the option of getting them with the traditional surround, and spider, but then that would be a lateral move and there would be no audible difference between the two subs.
