Football!!!

Reason there was all the loses in the sec is because we all beat each other... and sec held the national championship from 06-12...
Lol. They beat each other... That's always the excuse. The SEC had a self fulfilling prophecy set up. We are sooooo great we lose to each other and then we have to make it to the National championship. Put them in the playoffs and osu spanks dat booty. If the sec wins a couple more championships in the playoff era I'd be surprised but I'd give props. Until then I think all those national championships were more or less BS.

That last comment shows are ignorant you are. Have you ever played football at the high school level? Let alone the collegiate level? The SEC is the most dominant conference (this is subject to change at anytime) in NCAA DI-A football in the past decade and currently are still. Your OSU comment, you win some, you lose some. Its hard to be perfect for 10+ games. Yes, OSU did it. Urban is a damned good coach (terrible person though...). Remember, there was a time when OSU got butt fucked by the SEC. Legends come and go. Look at UCLA back in their hayday in basketball.

As for the rest of the thread... Go Bucs! Yes, we're terrible. Like God awful terrible. But I am a fan, thus I still support them through these trying times.

Osu got butt fucked by what sec? Florida? God I love the Internet. Yes I did play high school football and I was also a division 1 athlete. I know a thing or two. They were dominant because everyone said they were dominant. They had cupcake schedules just like the rest of the big conferences and would "beat each other up".... A self fulfilling prophecy. Whether you agree or not doesn't bother me. We'll see how almighty the sec is in the playoff era. And you spelled Bucks wrong //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif (Incase the sarcasm doesn't travel well across the interwebs, it's a joke)

Florida is in the SEC are they not? As for your athlete claim, I am giving you the benefit of the doubt ( I somehow have doubts, but I don't really give a **** ). How can you have a cupcake schedule when over half your schedule ends up in the top 25? Howcome the SEC constantly finishes with 5 teams in the top 10? nearly 10 schools or more in the top 25? Explain that. No matter what, Nick Saban will go down in the NCAA hall of fame for what he's done at Alabama, there's no denying that. I also think Meyer will make it there as well. You sir, are the typical OSU football fan, no different than a UK basketball fan.

But I suppose we will see. You can't deny the SEC's dominance on paper with each new recruiting class, albeit that is on paper. Only time will tell. Now, can we agree on something? Do you think the playoff system should be expanded? I personally think it should be AT LEAST 16 teams, preferably more. That way, we could truly show what team/which conference is the most dominant.

Also, I am not an SEC fanboy, while I do support most SEC schools I am also big on Oregon, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Navy and Gerogia Tech (Option football is life), etc.

High school football, high school state champion in track in Illinois, Miami University in Ohio for track. You can Google it of you'd like. I don't BS. Most of what you said is true but you cannot deny that the sec is over inflated. They beat each other but constantly end up ranked high despite a few losses solely because they are in the sec.

As for the playoffs. I think 8 teams would be plenty. 4 is still better than the BCS though!

As a Bears fan... I feel your pain. And for the record, the SEC has some good teams, to say they are a dominant division is ludicrous. Otherwise your best team would be hands down the best team in football, and they are not, actually, the SECs best team would be 3rd and 4th right now, with Oregon being 2nd, and OSU being 1st based on most recent results.

Also, what the hell does playing HS football have to do with realizing the SEC is the best division? If that was true all the talent would flock to the SEC and Michigan and OSU would be talent deprived, and they aren't. Both Michigan and OSU have gotten their fare share of 5 and 4 star telnet. Many chose OSU or Michigan over SEC teams.

Lmao, the high school/college football comment was in case he had never even played a down. Because people who talk all this stuff about football, yet have never played it in a sanctioned league, don't earn my full respect on their football conversations.

As for my SEC comment... Yes. The SEC as a WHOLE CONFERENCE is the most dominate. I never claimed they had the best team. They clearly don't. But as a whole conference.... When you have 5 of the top 10 spots...

Osu also has the top recruiting class for 2016 and 2017 (so far) . My last addition to this convo, as I've said before, let's see how the sec does in the playoff era. I believe they will be shown to be a good conference, but hands down the best? Not by a long shot

Recruiting classes at this point is pointless. So many things can change. I am simply stating that in the past few years, up to today, they have been the best as a whole. That may change with the playoff era. Who knows. Like you said, we'll have to see.

I've never played football. But you don't have to play football to know football. I know a lot of people who played HS football that actually don't know squat about technique or scheme, they were just physically bigger than other HS students. College football would be way more telling than HS, IMO. In HS its just about athletics, you get some brief introduction to scheming and technique, but its not till college when you realize you can't do it off athletics alone, because everyone is a better athlete, from the NFL your top notch athletics mean pretty much nothing. Everybody is one of the best in the world at their position, even the backups. You need technique and discipline to play at the highest level. But playing has nothing to do with understanding is the main point I'm making.
