Football!!!

Hey, so football is quickly going to be here. Only 2 days and 8 hours until my favorite football team, the Chicago Bears, take the field for the first time this season. I'm a pretty big fan, but I've never been to a game. I've gotten into fight with friends that were fans of other teams though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Share some of your stories about some of your favorite memories, and your team. And what you may be excited that this season may bring!

I hope this season brings an A-rod tourcher chamber for when the Bears play the Packers! I can only hope right, because he'll probably shred us apart like he always does.

I am also sorta fond of the Denver Broncos. Not a band wagoner, I've liked them since before Manning. My mom lived out there for a portion of her more youthful years and has the Broncos second only the to Chicago Bears.

I'm also a OSU fan and NIU fan when it comes to college football.

I look forward to hearing some of your memories and expectation for you favorite teams this year.

I say Bears go 19-0

OSU doesn't lose a game and win their second championship in a row now that SEC love can't dictate the real winners.

BEAR DOWN!!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/suave.gif.858fc102f7646e678ee8af7e1fbc41d1.gif

The Bears haven't been very good as of late, I agree. But a lot of that has to do more with coaching and less with talent. We actually have good coaches now, all of which have coached in the big game, Fox (Denver/Carolina), Gase (Denver), and Fangio (San Francisco). I'm pretty excited that we can turn this season around with a few additions like McPhee (You know how that is) and Royal. And despite getting rid of Marshall we actually look like we have a more potent WR group if Cutler can throw them the ball (looks good in camp, but who doesn't)

Plus, we have the better HOF LB in the more modern era: Urlacher > Lewis //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/suave.gif.858fc102f7646e678ee8af7e1fbc41d1.gif

Dolphins fan here, wife is a Bucs fan. We jsut won tickets to a pre game in Miami for both teams to play each other.Weve always wanted to see this for the past 8 years.

if we put are #2 qb in we could win this year.
Not a Flacco fan? Quite honestly, I think he has the worse contract in the NFL. People at ESPN way Cutler's is bad, but they clearly don't know how to look at production and way that to contract numbers and Cap hit (FYI, I'm a very big football fan in general, and spend much more time on football blog pages over car audio, sorry if I get carried away). Cutler doesn't have an ideal contract, but he only hits the team with a 16Mil cap hit, which isn't much for a starting QB, but Flacco has like a 28 Mil hit, and is pretty much the same QB. Trestman will have a good year with Flacco though like he did with Cutler in 2013. But then the offense will be just bad in 2016, like it was in 2014. Your defense is really good though and should bail you guys outta Trestman.

Pittsburgh, my favorite AFC North team, could be a threat, but they are going through a pretty big defensive turn around with Troy retiring and **** Lebeau moving on. But they still have Big Ben who is borderline elite and more than capable of carrying his team.

For some reason, I like the Dolphans (in the sense that I don't hate them, or dislike them, like so many other teams). You guys will likely have one of the best defensive lines in football with Sue, thank you for getting him out of the north. I work with a Bucs fan, I give him crap all the time because they seem like they are trying to rebuild the 21st century Bears Glory days. Hired Smith, Picked up all the Bears that we released, and drafted Cutler 2.0 (seriously, dude turned the ball over ALOT in college, you expect that to get better in the NFL?). LOL, its funny IMO.

My lady is a Pitt fan BTW. She is related to the late and the great Jack Lambert (Or so her family says. I've never met him.)

You know, Pitt fans doesn't hold the Ravens in that respect. They have WAY more hatred towards the Browns still. I tried explaining this to my ladies father. I was like:

"you know, the Browns that you grew up hating are the Ravens, Right?"

They just say they like a lot of players on the Ravins, FWIW, I hate the Raven (as somewhat of a Pitt fan because of family) because I feel that is a much more relevant rivalry over the Browns.

Flacco, he's meh. He's your Cutler. He's definitely starting quality, FWIW. He is a top 15 QB in this league and very few teams are so lucky. He's terrible if you compare him to Rodgers, Brady and Manning. Not so bad if you compare him to Cutler, Stafford, and Dalton.

Green Bay Packers! the bears will be 0-1 after their first game
We'll see. Rodgers has had trouble against Fangio defenses, and I think we got a few tricks up out sleeve to surprise. Do I think we win? Probably not, but we haven't even played a single game yet. But it is the NFL and a 2-14 team can be in the playoff the very next season, so we'll see. Bear hopeful //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Its cool though, without us your team doesn't even exist, so you have the Bears to thank for your fandom:santa:
