if there were no gun involved then i would almost certainly let the parents handle it, but i feel the gun certainly requires me to press charges in order to protect other innocent people. I just hope they learn something from the whole thing. i could have very easily let them try to crawl in my window and then boo-yah that *** so i hope hearing someone chamber up on their *** ended their criminal careers.

So they try to break into your house at 3 am. As "good" parents do you let your 15-16 year old kids roam the neighborhood at 3am? Edit- And they are carrying a f-ing gun??!!!
Man - you really are clueless, aren't you?

Do you honestly think that teenagers who are doing odd things at odd hours are doing so more often than not with their parents' knowledge?

At the risk of sounding very emo ~

My parents were great parents. We never wanted for anything as Mom and Dad both made above average livings. They loved us beyond question. They taught us right from wrong and why each was which. They've been married 43 years this month. You know - the rather boring textbook American upbringing. They made sure we were educated well, instilled with good morals, blah blah blah and provided us with all the necessary tools to have a real shot at real life upon growing up.

Having rambled on about all of that...

Do you think for a minute they were aware of our activities 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year?

Pfft.

No way in Hades.

Does that make them bad parents?

Certainly not.

It makes them human.

All of this is followed by...~...~...~:

Im guessing they probably snuck out.
I roamed the neighborhood at 3am when I was that age and my parents had no idea, they thought I was sleeping in my bed. I wasn't breaking into houses, but I was still out.

I was out too, but we were playing Hide-In-Go-Seek. Neighbors always wondered what kind of animal always ruined their garden...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fro.gif.c695f1f814b01c4ad99fe7f8cccadd29.gif
Like, DUH!!!!!

How is it that anyone can manage to not have this occur to them?

Teens sneaking out.

Yep.

There's an original idea.

Oh yea your right stupid me, I was out too.
Yup. We're right. Stupid you.

But I never learned my lesson id take an *** whoppin and do it again and again so i guess im no better than them.
Just because you had an extreme upbringing doesn't mean the rest of the world did as well. It sucks for you that you had that happen if that's genuinely the case but nobody here is at fault for it...we didn't do it to you... so we're not going to be treated like morons for something some other sick twist did.

Get over yourself.

I'm sorry it happened if it did, I truly am. But pull the stick out of your *** about it.

Just my $0.02

Wow. I didn't know there were any "good" parents left at all. Too bad more aren't like this.
My dad would beat my *** if i went to juvie and wouldn't bail me out if I was in jail, jus because I got myself into it so I would have to get myself out. Then, after that, ould probably make me the person thats house I tried to break into's slave for awhile. with a written apology haha
