Folding a port or do SLOT port

if the length of port decided is longer than the box depth, will folding the port in a zig-zag form,

be the same as doing it in form of slot port of same length as if it is a folded one???

I normally do ports going down the side of the box, then have it turn down the back of the box.

therefore if i do the port in the following 2 types, will it be tuned the same provided that the length & area is in both ports the same?? or should i tune according the port type???

Port tuning will be dictated by the port area, and the port length. How many bends the port has, and in what direction(s) is irrelevant to tuning. So yes, to answer your question, they would be tuned to the same frequency.

I agree with Ryan, it's probably easier to just do one turn.. so against the back wall.... But the box I use now, I had to zig zag it, and it works just as well...
