Focal to JL or Alpine Amp?

Turn your gain down. You are expecting way to much output from your sealed 10".
This is probably your cause. The shop just wants to make money off of you.

Turned the gain back down and turned up the gain in the Alpine Imprint processor. Everything sounds great, smooth highs, ht punchy bass you can feel.

I still wonder if this Focal FP4.75 amp will continue to over heat due to not much ventalation and if a D class amp like the Alpine PDX or JL HD600/4 will not only sound even better, more volume and run cooler. I paid $350 for the Focal amp and can swap it out for $120 and get the Alpine PDX 4.150 or the JL HD600/4 for $190 more....good deal or not?
