Focal subs vs Brahma

How do focal subs measure up to adire brahma's in terms of SQ and overall SPL??

Focals are pretty much strictly SQ, the Brahma would destroy it as far as SPL is concerned.

Just for that comment I'll be sure to add an extra brahma to my trunk...not only will u feel it while you're taking a dump but it'll knock your grandma's dentures out her mouth and into your momma's cup of egg nog.

that was awesome! As for the original Q, Depends on the line of Focal, but I would think they are a pretty even comparison, except of course the $$.

the utopia line of focal's can get plenty loud! they also cost about 3 times what brahma does....

Yea, well this stooge installer was telling me the Brahma cant be a very decent sub for $400 since, as he tells me, the parts alone for a high quality subwoofer cost around that.

If he is so knowledgable about subwoofer construction and the cost therein, why is he installing and not building?

I think that is one of those situations where you hold back your laughter, crack a smile and walk off. Then of course bust out laughing.

IMO - The Brahma has great SQ and SPL abilites. Focal is known for their great quality, but won't be selling direct like Adire, so you suffer when you buy retail. I'd choose the Brahma.

tell you what, buy the brahma, run it off some power, and show the guy what the "sub that costs the same as the materials" can do. bring a camera to take a picture of his eyes bugging out please
