Focal or diamond audio

im in the market to buy a 6.5" component set.

so far ive narrowed it down to..

focal 165k -299/289

diamond audio s600s (back ordered for a while) 329

diamond audio m661 (diddo^) 229

which sounds the best out of those 3?

any other choices ..i wat to stay under 300 or 300$...but if sumthigns a little more and is way better im might splurge

ne who just need infomation on these 3 choices.how they sound..how are the tweets and mid bass..which has more function...overall SQ...etc

i like the look of the diamond audios...but i rather go for better sound then looks (wanted to show off x-overs heh)

Out of your list I would chose the focals. But I'm sure you would be happy with any that you have listed. Also you may want to check out rainbows....I love them myself and can usually be found for less money

I would try and listen to all three sets before purchasing.

If I was in your position, well, first I would try and listen to all of the sets, but, I would probably take the Focal's. Sweet midbass, crystal clear tweeter, and a crossover system I like.

problem is i live in canada

so out of those 3 the only ones i coud listen to is the focals

we dont get DA down here

how much better are the

focal 165k2 then the focal 165k

ive narrowed it down to either the focal 165k = 270

focal 165k 320

or diamond s600s ....goin for 250 US.but i can offer the guy a little lower

all brand new all from ebay (those prices)

My personal preference here (which I voice frequently when it comes to these components) are the Diamond s600s, but you can hardly go wrong with the Focals. Both of these make for extreme quality in your components.

* the Diamonds handle 170W RMS (I think) vs 100W RMS for the Focal 165k2s

* the 165K2's have a deeper magnet / mounting depth, which is a problem for some

* the Diamond cones have a lighter material composition and are slightly more durable (although neither speaker model is likely to tear up)

Sound quality reviews on both get 5 stars pretty much everywhere and from everyone.

i like the lower end diamond's more than i like the lower end focal's, i got to listen to them back to back, the higher end focal's sounded alot better than either set of the lower end set's, but the store did not have the higher end diamond's. i've got 3 sets of the diamonds in my truck, and i love them.

I would go with the Diamond Audio s6.5 comp. set. Right now I have two sets of them in my car. I would say that they rival the Boston pro series set. later

i kinda want the DA just cause they look better hehehe..but i dont wanna sacrifice sound for looks

so far from peops opinions on sites and stuff..its a tie between focal and diamond basically

i have no clue on the boston pro stuff...they looks pretty good though..i dotn understand why one sum pictures they have a tweet in the middle of the midbass or sumthin

ne who i have 1 days to choose a speaker.....sorry to be a hassle hehe
