If you are going to go 300 - 400 I would not even be considering the CDT Ef series. In the CDT's you could get the HD's for that type of money. You are also knocking on the door of the price of the Rainbow Germaniums. I am certain that either would be a lot better than the Ef's.

There are a lot of options in that price range.

Can't speak as to the focal's -- I have heard several sets and they sounded pretty good, but I don't know that I have ever heard that particular set.

I believe those are the set that I hear at tweeter a lot.

in my personal opinion, focal are great, but the difference in quality to other speakers for the amount they cost (in same price range) isn't worth it, then again I've gone deaf too from car audio and sitting in front of stage speakers most of my life :/

Becose it says FOCAL that is a quality product.

Only one word is needed..

They dont make a bad product they only make better & better than that..

If you got $300 to spend I would get a Set of Polyglass or some used K2's Or K2P's

You cant go wrong..
