That's the one drawback to that comp set.... the mids are just so damn large!

just a 1000 for componets only. I just wanna get a good set that im going to be satisfied with. I have always bostons or jl's for componets and i wanna see if there is anything better out there.

Then I'd say check out Hertz HSK series. Inexpensive great sound.

I run the DLS Ultimate Nobeliums, simply amazing sound to me. Very natural and warm.

What headunit do you plan on running?! Don't just buy some expensive components and skip on quality amps and a deck.

I have a alpine w205 installed right now. I'm not sure on amps but i'm thinking about going with audison amps, as i have heard they are really good.

I vote for the Focals. Great brand.

Powerline set is good as well. Can't go wrong either way you go.
