Focal 165 A1

[DOOM_NX 10+ year member]

I'm gonna upgrade further my system and my installer suggested the Focal 165 A1 component set.

Anybody ever heard these speakers? Are they worth 150 euros? Do you have anything else to suggest at the same price range (and at 60W RMS)?

Please note that I live in Europe so American brands may be way more expensive here...

Speaker Amp: Hertz EP4

Front Stage: 2x Hertz DCX165

Rear Stage: 2x Hertz DCX690

Subwoofer Amp: Kicker ZX300.1

why not get the hertz hsk165 to go with the rest of ur system?

At the same price range I can only get the Hertz ESK165. Plus my installer told me that the Focal ones produce better sound quality...

I have the older versions running active off of a Sundown SAX 100.4 and they do pretty good

Well to let you know, Focal is actually from France. I would check their site for other places that carry Focal speakers and check the prices. It's been a while since I saw what the component sets ran for, but the Access line is a solid product and Focal does have great sounding speakers.

i have a friend with the focals your talking about and they are very nice. decent midbass with a crazy tweeter i love them

focal sound great but the hsk hertz sound more natural to the ear.
