Fluctuating Bass while Stereo Silent??

I've got a bazooka bass tube hooked up to my pioneer deck. When i pause a cd or just turn down the radio, the bass sounds like it's fluctuating or sounds like power is surging even though the radio is down. What's going on? How can i fix this?? Thanks!

Are you running your rca cables by your power cables, perhaps there is interference.

Yeah, i am, they're both running down the side of my truck. So i need to separate them somehow? like opposite sides?

^^yes...i had the same problem

except mine were wired on opposite sides...took a little bit to figure out
