I have 3 alpine type R 12's dual 4Ohm coils running off of a eclipse 7232 2 channel amp I have the subs wired in series parallel but i am only using one channel of the amp and i was wondering if i could wire the 3 subs off of both channels like 1 1/2 subs per channel i dont wanna do any fancy wireing to the amp it is alot cheaper to replace the subs compaired to a $2000 AMP if anything goes wrong

do either of you know the specs for ported boxes for the alpine type R 12's im running a custom made sealed enclosure that is 2.86 cubic ft of air with the internal bracing and speaker displacement plus about 50 oz of poly fill it is one big chamber instead of being split into 3 chambers

you cant run 3 dvc 4 ohm drivers@ 1.33 ohms...

you can run them @2.66 ohms...

you can run 3 dvc 2 ohm drivers @ 1.33, or 3 4ohm svc coils @ 1.33....

3 8 ohm drivers @ 2.66 ohms...

no u can't and it's not recommended, get a 1 ohm stable amp and run it at 1.33 ohms
