flipdown monitors-2 small or 1 big?

Alright I have an indash and am looking for monitors for the back of my explorer. Now I had always thought of getting a large (12-15") flip down in the middle but have recently thought about possible 2 smaller flip downs behind the two front seats. Which would you do and why? One reason I am thinking of this is because it seems more of the smaller ones can swivel which is a nice feature IMO. But a downfall is that when they aren't flipped down it might look like a little much on the ceiling. Please give your input if you would, thanks.

No size is what I am asking. I plan to buy the good budget ones I've heard of probably. IconTV or power acoustik and I think theres one more. Doesn't matter too much, but I'm not going to spend more than like $700 total.

Yeah depending on price but at least 7" for the smaller ones but up to maybe 10" or so. Is there anything to definitely look for as far as crap monitors anyways?

On ebay they have a 15" clarion that does PIP and split screen. That sound good?

If i was looking at a monitor, I'd get a widescreen monitor. you notice a lot of the picture gets cut off if you get a regular square monitor, since its so small. I would do 1 big screen, especially in an explorer. If it was something bigger, then maybe 2 smaller ones. In an explorer, 1 big screen would be pretty cool looking.

Yeah, definitely looking for a widescreen especially since my indash is widescreen too. So I guess I'll just be looking at 10-15 inch monitors when I get back from spring break.

The problem with 1 big monitor is it's typically just that.... one big *** monitor. In an explorer it'll be kind of hard to look at (unless you are outside the truck with the tailgate open). Think about sitting too close to a 65 inch big screen. The second problem is they are heavy. Typically ford doesn't have a cross member type support on the ceiling like chevy's do. This will make for a difficult install. But, you haven't really talked about how big. If you do just one monitor, I recommend a 9". It will look huge in your truck. I had an 8" widescreen in a 2000 mitsu montero sport and it was the perfect size for the back seat.

Have you thought about head rest monitors? For your situation that's what I'd recommend. If you get the right set, you'll be able to watch DVD on one and games on the the other.

good luck

Well in my explorer there is a "hump" or something that goes across the middle right behind the 2 front seats. I have been thinking of like a 10.4" widescreen. I would go with the headrest ones but my seats are one piece and how I sit they screens would be facing sort of down. I did find this one that is like 15" with PIP and split screen options which I thought was pretty **** cool. But maybe I'll go with like 2 9" ones behind each front seat.
