Flared port lengths....

When measuring the port length of flared ports....

Where does the length....for example given by http://www.psp-inc.com/, start?

Outside the flare? Inside the flare? I'm assuming outside the flare, would like clarification b4 i cut, thx.

Well the total length with the port would be the length of the entire thing.

You add 1" to the total length of what a non flared port would be to account for the flare.

Their calculator takes that into account, so it would be the total length, flare to flare.

the calculator gives you both. Regular round port and flared port lengths.

Whatever the length that calculartor gives you, subtract 5" and cut the tube at that length. When you reassemble it, you'll have a port 1" longer than the standard non-flared...
