By trying to fix it for yourself and not find the rightful owner, you are stealing it. I hope it does work and you get busted trying to use it.

Look that was my dad's call, not mine. Plus he did find it by his work, so it belonged to someone at his work. And do you know what happens if someone loses or breaks their phone at his work? The company gets them a new one. I didn't question him as to why he didn't go hunt down whoever owned it. And since it's broken he wouldn't think it's worth anything anyways.
