First time tweeter pod glassed Pics

Well my first time doing tweeter pods... i put them into my a pillers and have them aimed at the chin of the other side. i hope these will sound good.... Rainbow Germs are my comps... here are some pics... i am super happy with the krylon texture spray... Just gotta match up my color now. I could of had them looking even better but i got tired of sanding after 2 days so i stopped where i was at and let her rip. I used primer builder/ adheasion promoter two coats and then the krylon wrinkle texture with 3 heavy layers as it directs.

These are a touch wet still in the pics so the color isnt exactly even yet but it dried perfect.

btw, where its dark in the pic around the pod isnt the cut off line on the glassing. Thats just where i had sprayed a touch extra and it hadnt dried yet when i took the pics. I will take more when i install...

im really lazy with pics lol... I gotta install my alarm. I'm not even gonna put empty pods in without my alarm first. I have had three cars stolen and well over 20 grand in audio equipment taken as well over the last 15-20 years. This jeep will be locked up in my garage and alarm always armed. I dont trust factory alarms anymore at all. I will make a big total build thread and try taking more pics along the way. I should of taken more when i did these but it was mostly a night time thing tring to be quiet while the kids slept. Having tons of tools and sand paper is key though. Most people wouldnt believe me but i used my drill press and that took literally hours of sanding off the job. I put a large drum sanding bit i use with my drill that i got at harbor frieght tools into my drill press and turned it on... I just used it like a electric sander that took the glass down really fast. I also learned to drill holes into the plastic and scuff it up really well cause my first attempt at the glassing seperated fromthe plastic trim. I stripped it and started over with holes and 60 grit scuffing. That did the trick as it is all one unit now.

Yea it looks strange in the pics cause of the wet paint. the filler is actually all the way to the bottom and half way up. Ill get more pics it doesnt look like the pics now. Its seamless. a couple places i should of fixed tho oh well. If i was doing it for someone else i would of made it perfect but this was just a quick job
